Foreign Ambassadors Accredited to the African Union
There are now over 31 embassies of foreign (non-African) countries accredited as representatives of their countries to the African Union.
The Pakistani ambassador Sayd Zayd Hussein who delivered the speech on behalf of new ambassadors to the African Union, in October 2005, underlined the desire of these countries to support and develop their relations with the African Union and strengthen economic, and trade relations with the Africa Union especially because Africa is a nation with immense potentials.
Foreign countries with ambassadors accredited to the African Union include Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Finland, India, North Korea, Mexico, Holland, Norway, Pakistan, Poland, South Korea, Russia, Serbia and Montenegro, and Sweden.
