The Inaugural Assembly of Heads of State and Government of the African Union, will take place on 1-11 July 2002 in Johannesburg.
Dates of Meetings:
1-3 July 2002: Permanent Representatives Committee (OAU Committee of Ambassadors and Other Plenipotentiaries)
4-6 July 2002: Executive Council (OAU Council of Ministers)
8-11 July 2002: Assembly of the Union (OAU Assembly of Heads of State and Government)
The Bi-annual Conference on Security, Stability, Development and Cooperation (CSSDCA) Standing Conference of Heads of State and Government will coincide with the 2002 African Union Summit.
