FUNCTIONS OF THE AUF GENERAL COUNCIL
The General Council provide guidance for the implementation of AUF policies. It generates policies concerning African unity, and the Pan African effort, and policies concerning the development of constructive African participation within the economic, social, and political undertakings all over the world.
The General Council oversees the welfare of the AUF, drafts policies and other documents concerning AUF activities, projects and operations. Ensures that the organs of the AUF are managed efficiently and in accordance with AUF Provisions;
Establishes good relations with like-minded organizations around the world and gives AUF members the full benefit of such liaisons;
Where necessary creates and constitutes committees, sub-committees, assessment teams, and such other organs as are required to facilitate the fulfillment of the mission and aims of the AUF;
The General Council is responsible for the AUF Parliamentary policy. The General Council is the AUF's highest forum for debating parliamentary policies. Resolutions of the General Council are binding on the AUF Parliamentary caucuses and all AUF public office holders.
