KANSTEINER III STILL HAS TO PROVE HIMSELF
As Kansteiner begins to direct US policy in Africa, it is critical to keep in mind that he is going to play a key role in determining whether or not Africans gain the respect of the rest of the world, or if we become a giant Nike factory and a playground for American tourists and relief agencies.
So far Kansteiner's record is a pathetic hodgepodge of corporate talk, and much indifference to key issues of concern to Africans.
So far he lacks understanding of how to talk to Africans and lacks the sensitivity necessary to navigate the African political landscape. His mantra is "market economy"...and "American interest" and he thinks privatization and selling Africa to US corporations will solve "our" problems. He will do worse than Clinton, unless by some miracle his IQ jumps up by 25% in the next couple of hours.
When Clinton went to Africa, Kansteiner complained that Clinton had an "obsession with apologizing" for everything from slavery to U.S. foreign policy during the Cold War..." and that Clinton's apology for American Cold war policy in Africa was "peculiar". In otherwords, Kansteiner is set to be Africa's next tragedy. God help us.
So far Kansteiner has suggested that Eastern Congo should be divided between Hutus and Tutsis, whom he seems to think make up the "primary" ethnic groups... Other than the bizarre ethnic dichotomy, the suggestion is extremely stupid, especially when contrasted with the UN resolutions demanding an end to hostilities and withdrawal of belligerents, the Lusaka Accord, and the recent UN report on the plunder of the DRC by international corporations working with the families of certain individuals who work for the president of Uganda.
Kansteiner had the audacity to propose that "creating homogeneous ethnic lands would probably necessitate redrawing international boundaries and would require massive 'voluntary' relocation efforts, shifting Tutsis to a newly created Tutsi state and likewise for Hutus." This is insane!!! What the hell is 'voluntary' relocation in this context? And how does Kansteiner III propose to pull off this sadistic plan? How many more people must die in order to fulfil Kansteiner's partition of Africa?
