The full Executive Committee shall consist of no more than 9 (nine) members: 3 from the AUF PAP Caucus, 3 from the AUF National Committee, and 3 from the AUF Board of Directors.

The AUF's Executive Committee is the governing authority of the AUF. It is responsible for the Party's funds, structure, political strategy and publicity, it is answerable to the Party conferences/Conventions and is charged with carrying out conference decisions.
The Executive Committee coordinates the functions of the different branches of the AUF, and oversees the implementation of AUF policy and the execution of General Council decisions. The Executive Committee has the responsibility to conduct internal auditing with respect to AUF operations, and propose the relevant measures for correcting violations.
The Executive Committee elaborates decisions on important issues, defines the direction and elaborates an overall concept of organizational development, coordinates and monitors the activity of the AUF and other AUF organizations, and defines the mission of AUF organs, their composition, and size in accordance with the Mission and Provisions of the AUF.
The Executive Committee formulates medium-term and long-term strategies, conducts visionery analyses to compare current directions with future aspirations, conducts strategic analyses of events within the AUF's organizational structures and the AUFs relationship to the external environment. The Committee members anticipate operational problems within an ideological framework, and generate sound recommendations for use by various component structures of the AUF.
