AUF SECRETARIAT
The Secretariat constitutes the staff and employees of the AUF Executive Committee. The term Secretariat refers to all staff functions. In the past the AUF Secretariat formed a distinct committee within the General Council, but has ceased to be a formally constituted organ. All staffs employed at any level in the AUF are ultimately responsble to the AUF Executive Committee.
The term secretariat now refers to anyone who is assigned or employed to perform AUF staff duties. The staff are in charge of implementing the policy and personnel decisions of the AUF Executive Committee.
Currently most AUF staff are volunteers, most of whom are also AUF members. They provide services to facilitate AUF activities such as maintaining websites, doing policy research, booking venues, delivering pamphlets, facilitating events, etc. All AUF leaders also perform some staff functions.
