AUF CAUCUS in the PAN AFRICAN PARLIAMENT
[AUF Members and Supporters who have served in the PAP]
Dr. Amani Walid Kabourou [2004-2006]
Chrispin Mwitila Shumina [2004-2006]
Miria Matembe [2004-2006]
Loyce Bwambale [2004-2006]
The AUF Parliamentary Caucus consists of AUF members who have seats in the Pan African Parliament. The AUF Caucus in the PAP is part of the AUF General Council.
AUF members may belong to different local and state parties, but support the AUF at the All-Union federal level as members of the AUF in the PAP. This means that MPs from different state parties, can and do belong to the AUF, and can serve together in the PAP as members of the AUF Parliamentary Caucus/Party.
Being part of a AUF Parliamentary Caucus allows elected party members to pool resources for research, to collectively consider details in legislation, and to monitor how the executive has carried out the orders of parliament, as well as allowing caucus members to collectively prepare policy before they take part in a PAP session.
The caucus helps the AUF to respond effectively to economic, military, social, political, and environmental threats against Africans.
